Pen Bryn Oer Windfarm – HV Design & Build Services
This project is a high voltage electrical design and build contract that C&P Engineering Services have been awarded by REG WindPower for the Pen Bryn Oer Wind Farm. The site is situated between Rhymney and Tredegar and comprises of 3 off Vesta V90 2MW Wind Turbines, generating 6 MW in total.
Construction Phase 2 – Major HV Electrical Plant & Equipment Installation
C&P have begun the high voltage construction on site and have started the second phase of the Pen Bryn Oer Windfarm project. On Monday 14th August 2017, major plant and equipment was delivered to site to begin the installation of an Ormazabal Velatia CGM.3 33kV 630A Busbar Switchgear and a 50kVA Auxiliary Transformer.
In addition to major plant being installed, C&P are also completing the fit out of the substation building which includes power, lighting, heating and other auxiliary supplies. Phase 2 of the HV construction at Pen Bryn Oer will continue for the next month.
