Background
Circuit Breaker Installation – The client required us to change a circuit breaker that was faulty and inoperative. Due to the site’s operational constraints a shutdown to isolate and investigate the issue was not possible.

Technical Remit
- Purchased a reconditioned circuit breaker with similar specification.
- Maintained and bench tested it.
- Arranged a 30 minute shutdown which the maximum time allowed.
- Removed the old unit and retrofitted the new unit by carrying out the circuit breaker installation under a very tight time constraint.
Outcome
Client fulfilled their maintenance obligations and we restored functionality of their circuit breaker within the time constraints allowed.
