DC Cable Testing

DC Cable Testing

DC Cable Testing of has been around for many years, mainly used on paper insulated cables. This is a DC High Voltage test, core to core and core to earth. A negative high voltage charge is placed on each core to test to earth. The positive to negative flow of electrons encourages moisture to migrate externally to internally, this is seen as a destructive test to fail any imperfections in the insulation or sheath of paper insulated cables.

We carry out DC Cable Testing as part of our High Voltage Inspection Testing Services.
